Module learning outcomes

Demonstrate a critical knowledge and understanding of the theoretical
relationship between the key concepts of power, knowledge, and
resistance.

Analyse and critically evaluate contemporary debates in anthropology
concerning postcolonial/subaltern studies and imperialism outside the
European colonial framework, as well as initiatives for decolonising
knowledge.

Work collaboratively and constructively with individuals and groups to
develop a critical awareness of alternative ways of producing knowledge
and the complex relationships of power and resistance they generate.

Select, critique, and apply relevant theories of power, knowledge, and
resistance to analyse case studies and/or contemporary issues impacting
the world today.

Work independently to select, develop, implement, and critically assess
suitable theories and methods for investigating and resolving research
questions, as well as designing an original piece of research.
