Full Module Description

This module will cover current topics in developmental psychology. The instructor will provide a brief introduction to dynamic systems theory during lectures in the first two weeks. During the rest of the module we will read and discuss recent research from this perspective. Topics will include: motor development, categorisation, language acquisition and spatial cognition.
This module builds on knowledge gained in the core psychology module C8546: Developmental Psychology. Students who are not enrolled on the BSc Psychology course at Sussex are expected to be familiar with the material covered in that module.
