Module Outline

Cognitive Psychology is the study of the mind; the science of how we think. Lectures will provide a broad coverage of Cognitive Psychology, which may include topics such as perception, attention, memory, language, and thinking, as well as individual differences in cognition. Practicals and workshops provide experiential learning via participation in experiments using key experimental techniques. You will also practice the evaluative and creative problem-solving skills needed to devise cognitive psychological research and to discuss its theoretical and real-world importance.

Full Module Description

Cognitive Psychology is the study of the mind; the science of how we think. Lectures will provide a broad coverage of Cognitive Psychology, which may include topics such as perception, attention, memory, language, and thinking, as well as individual differences in cognition. Practicals and workshops provide experiential learning via participation in experiments using key experimental techniques. You will also practice the evaluative and creative problem-solving skills needed to devise cognitive psychological research and to discuss its theoretical and real-world importance.
