What we do

Atomic, Molecular, and Optical (AMO) research at Sussex 5X社区视频 is devoted to the study of fundamental physics and quantum effects using the techniques of atomic and laser physics.

The AMO group is based in the Department of Physics and Astronomy, in the School of Mathematical & Physical Sciences.

Campus map
Our AMO faculty and research groups are based in the School of Mathematical and Physical Sciences, in Pevensey-2 Building. Find Pevensey-2 Building at grid reference 3C on the campus map.

Visitors arriving by car
The Science car park, P1, is the nearest car park to Pevensey-2 building.  Ask your host, or the School Office (located in the main entrance foyer, Pevensey-2 building), for a parking voucher ahead of your visit.

The pioneering MSc in Quantum Technology is managed by the AMO group and has been running since 2011.
