Sony Venice Cinema Camera

This is our flagship camera, a top of the range cinema camera a model used within the high-end film & TV industry. It has the capability of recording up to 6k creating superb dynamic range and pristine image quality. Included in the kit is a full shoulder rigs, matte-box, Follow Focus, HD Monitor and accessories. In addition your booking will provide you with 3 Zeiss prime lenses and an Oconnor tripod and head. Currently, this camera kit is only available to some third year Students and MA Filmmaking students.

VENICE is equipped with a 36x24mm full-frame image sensor, designed specifically for high end cinematography, and can capture images up to a maximum resolution of 6048 x 4032. By switching imager modes, VENICE can natively support Super35 24.3 x 18.0mm, 4096 x 3024 resolution (equivalent to 4-perforation motion picture film) and Super35 24.3 x 12.8mm, 4096 x 2160 resolution (equivalent to 3-perforation motion picture film). In other words, VENICE’s new full-frame sensor can capture in almost any format, including full 18mm-height Super35 Anamorphic and spherical and full-frame 24mm-height Anamorphic and spherical. Almost any aspect ratio can be conjured up: 1.85:1, 2.39:1, 17:9, the list goes on in full-frame or Super35.

With VENICE, Sony is giving users the option to customize their camera by only enabling the features as needed, according to individual production requirements. Licenses are available to expand the camera’s capabilities including 4K anamorphic and 6K full-frame.

Sony Fx30 Kit

The Cinema Line series of cameras from Sony is designed specifically for visual storytelling, with features like S-Cinetone picture profile, Dual Base ISO, and Cine EI to provide beautiful cinematic images straight out of the camera. Drawing on decades of experience in the film industry, these cameras combine film industry expertise with state-of-the-art technology for outstanding image quality. The FX30 model, in particular, boasts advanced technology such as a back-illuminated Exmor R APS-C CMOS sensor, 6K oversampling, and BIONZ XR processing engine for stunning resolution and realistic color reproduction. With features like S-Cinetone and S-Log3, users can achieve a cinematic look without the need for post-production color grading.

Despite its compact and lightweight design, the FX30 is built to withstand long shoots and can be easily used with gimbals and drones. With its combination of film industry experience and advanced technology, the Cinema Line series from Sony is a reliable and versatile choice for any visual storytelling project.

Sony Fx6

The lightweight and compact Sony Fx6 is the ideal camera for any scenario. Designed with flexibility in mind around a Full Frame size sensor, the camera offers an interchangeable lens mount, built in ND filters,4k recording to two SD card slots and two full size XLR inputs onboard. Ideal for traveling light without sacrificing crucial features it can serve as your main go to camera in many situations. Currently the Fx6 is can be used by 3rd Year Filmmaking and Media Production along with MA Filmmaking

Camera support Equipment

We have a variety of dolly and tracks such as Hague D7 Ride On and the Key West (portable folding case) Magic Dolly, a Jib arm, DJI Ronin and Osmo stabilisers, Konova sliders in a range sizes and Manfrotto Fig Rig.

Sound Equipment

We have a range of sound equipment available to Video and filmmaking students, you will find within your SISO account those you have access to. These will include soundrecorders such as the Sound Devices 664 and 633, Marantz PMD-661 and Zoom F8; microphones such as the Sennheiser MKH 416 and ME66/K6 both with wind protection gear, and Sony Radio wireless mic kit. There’s also a wide range of sound support equipment.

Lighting

We have a wide range of lighting equipment including Dedo lights, Diva Kino Flow, 2K lights, LED Flat Panel (hard and flexible) lights and Redheads. Also portable and on camera lights and Gels and filters are also available. .
