On this module, you’ll explore:

  • the complexities of managing innovation across borders in an increasingly interconnected world
  • how these challenges might be turned into opportunities for growth and innovation. 

Globalisation has enabled companies to expand into new markets across the world.

However, it also brings significant challenges around navigating different cultures and political and economic systems.

  • To systematically appreciate and critically apply theories of innovation and innovation systems to innovation opportunities at the local, national and global level. 
  • To demonstrate critical awareness of the nature, processes and constraints of various types of (global) innovation
  • To extend and apply knowledge about the importance of global/cross-border processes in generating and managing innovation strategies.
  • To critically assess opportunities and challenges of multi-stakeholder innovation for sustainable development.
