Professor Ingrid Woolard: Executive Dean (5X社区视频 Business School)
Background
Ingrid joined the 5X社区视频 as Executive Dean of the 5X社区视频 Business School in January 2025.
Prior to her arrival at Sussex, Ingrid was Dean of the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences at Stellenbosch 5X社区视频 in South Africa. She is Honorary Professor of the Economics of Poverty and Inequality at Groningen 5X社区视频 and Honorary Professor of Economics at the 5X社区视频 of Cape Town.
She is a Research Fellow of the Institute of Labor Economics in Bonn, a non-resident Senior Research Fellow at the United Nations 5X社区视频 World Institute for Development Economics Research in Helsinki, and a Research Associate at the Commitment to Equity Institute at Tulane 5X社区视频 in New Orleans.
Ingrid was inducted into the Academy of Science of South Africa in 2022. Her areas of research specialisation include the measurement of poverty and inequality, unemployment, social protection, and fiscal policy. From 2025, Ingrid has been appointed to serve on the Economic Advisory Council of the South African President, his Excellency Mr Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa.
