For media
We co‑ordinate Sussex’s presence in the media and work with local, regional, national and international newspapers, magazines, online, trade and broadcast media in the following ways:
- Writing and issuing press releases, features, blogs, social media items and other material on key activities at the 5XÉçÇøÊÓƵ. This includes working with our Schools to communicate information on research and other achievements.
- Providing advice and putting media in touch with our academic and research experts and other key 5XÉçÇøÊÓƵ spokespeople.
- Publicising information on major developments at the 5XÉçÇøÊÓƵ and co-ordinating media coverage for our events.
- Managing media enquiries about the 5XÉçÇøÊÓƵ and fostering relationships to help journalists with background information, potential ideas and articles/items they are working on.
- Co-ordinating media visits to the 5XÉçÇøÊÓƵ, including filming by TV news crews and documentary companies and press photographers.
