Joining the Library
If you are a member of the public and wish to use the Library building, access our physical collections, or borrow books, you can apply for annual Library membership through the . Find the most appropiate membership option below or email library.membership@sussex.ac.uk for guidance. Please note external membership provides access to our print collection only. Limited access to some online resources is available to visitors - more information can be found on our pages.
Once we receive your application we will create a Library card for you which can be collected from the Library Service Desk during staffed hours. Library cards can take up to 3 working days to process so please wait until you receive an email stating that your card is ready to collect before making your journey.
You are welcome to apply for free reference only or Schools & Colleges membership in person at the Library Service Desk.
