Brighton Cougars Basketball Club
Originally established in 1989, this charity now has 300 members, eleven local league teams, six national league teams and a women's division two team.
They provide coaching for and run a children's basketball camp during the holidays with Sussexsport.
As part of the Sport Scholarship Scheme they also invite our most talented female athletes to try out for their division two women's team.
Montpelier Villa Football Club
Founded in 1991, Montpelier Villa FC now have five men's teams, one women's team and seven junior league teams, which complete at local and county league level.
Montpelier Villa train and play on our 3G and grass pitches at the Falmer Sports Complex, where they also coach the and run children's football camps with us during the holidays. To book places please go to our children's camps webpages.

Training is on Wednesday evenings, 7pm at either East Brighton Park or Roedean School (check social media for details). No fees and kit included!

Sports clubs

Sussex has a diverse mix of with plenty of opportunity for competitive sport.
There's something for everyone, with club activity ranging from archery to volleyball and mountaineering to surf and snow. And if the club or society of your dreams doesn't exist, then start one. You only need three members to form a club or society at Sussex.
Most clubs have weekly training sessions with expert coaches and compete in local, regional and national level competitions. And if you’re a talented student athlete, we offer sports scholarships to help you develop.
You can show your support for our sports teams at matches, and spectators are welcome to attend. Home games take place on Wednesday afternoons at the Sport Centre, Falmer Sports Complex, Mandela Hall in Falmer House and Russell's Clump, by the ACCA lawns.
